"A Most Enjoyable and Most Informative Evening"

Notes from Galway Toastmasters 26/11/2014

The meeting was opened as usual by President Margaret S.  She informed us the that first lady to join toastmasters had to sign in using initials of her first name as it was then for men only. Thank God for progress.  Donal L was a superb Toastmaster and appropriately attired.  

                                                             

Topicsmaster Stephen C got  everyone contributing with his topical choice of topics - Roy Keane, mobile phones, and Ebola to mention just a few.                                                                      

The speeches, from Patsy,  John  and Pat C, and Pat C, were all superb and interesting.

Their subjects included positive thinking;  advice to stop living other people's lives;  the media tendency of turning silly stories into "news"; and a tale of family ancestors going back to 900AD .        

All in all it was a most enjoyable and most informative evening. Well done to all involved.
