Notes from the meeting of Wednesday the 28th of May 2014
Following the Annual General Meeting tonight we had a great meeting at Galway Toastmasters.
Margaret , our President, opened the meeting and welcomed our guests.
Ann K was Toastmaster and she called on everyone to explain their roles.
- Jenny D was Sergeant of Arms
- Pat Cr was Timekeeper
- Paul C was Grammarian
- Aisling was ah counter.
Mary gave an excellent Topics Session with a wide range of topics.
Prepared Speeches
- Donal completed his stage four speech entitled ‘Good Time Management’.
- Garry gave his ATM Silver 1 speech entitled ‘William’. It was a toast to William Shakespeare.
- Rita gave her ATM Silver 4 speech using a story.
After the break Ruairí evaluated Donal, Majella evaluated Gary and Margaret evaluated Rita. All speeches were entertaining and informative tonight. Well done to all the speakers and their evaluators.
The reports were given from the grammarian and the ah counter.
For the Creative Corner Mary filled in at very short notice, she chose a poem entitled 'The Wayfarer’.
Our General Evaluator, Margaret gave a good report. We were also reminded that the Summer Party will take place on Friday the 13th of June.
Join us for our next meeting on 11th June 2013 at the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway.
This will be our last meeting before September. Guests are very welcome.
